Introducing the "not greedy" FREE Encyclopedia

It's often crossed my mind why a company (not to mention any names) could get in donations $21 million a year and spend $18 million a year in expenses, then the rest of the $3 vanishes or perhaps goes into the bank account of the company.  But I have yet to hear of community service, charity, donating /from/ them, etc.  Why?  Because all the executives in today's world wants, wants, wants... they want to line their pockets with money.  Lots of it.  If they can't get paid $2 million a year for sitting on their ass 60 hours a week, then it's not worth it... so... I created YOUR Free Online Encyclopedia... hoping to change all of that.

Using our encyclopedia is free, you don't need to feel pressured to donate, or buy from our store - although those are options available to you.

What happens when we make money?

This is our current formula...

34% of everything we make goes to charity.  Our current charity effort is the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.  Keep in mind, not every dollar we contribute to charity will necessarily go to http://missingkids.org - if we see a need to contribute to another cause, we'll divide our charity fund and donate accordingly.  There may be some circumstances when You Can Never Be Too Smart hosts their own charity efforts, such as running a temporary soup kitchen for those living in poverty or homeless for example. - there may be some circumstances in which we donate extra money to charity.  For example, as of the 4th quarter of 2011, if you donate at http://youcanneverbetoosmart.com/donate.php - we match every dollar and transfer funds from our operating expenses fund to the charity fund.  So that's taking money out of our pocket, and giving it to charity - but don't worry, we're glad to do it.

33% goes to wages for our employees - think about this one long and hard... in this tough economy, finding a job is hard, the more we make, the more we can hire.  If we making $10 million and $3.33 million goes to wages... that's 160 full time $10 an hour jobs created.  Now, who are these employees?  Their usually people with a spouse and/or kids.  As an effort to help families, since we are a non profit community organization, during the employment screening process, if we have two identical resumes, but one has kids, and one doesn't.  We will hire the one that has kids, sort of as the tie breaker.

and finally, 33% goes to expenses - things such as servers, internet service, backup devices, computers - things to help keeping us bringing free information to you.

No, in fact, it's only 68 degrees, which is warm for this time of year.

Is it snowing where you are right now?

You Can Never Be Too Smart

Ever ask yourself, "They say I can be whatever I want to be, but can I really?"  The short answer?  YES!  Let me tell you!  I've learned the hard way, being anything you want to be doesn't mean growing up and hey, I wanna be an astronaut and go to Mars.  It means, I have to focus, I have to get things together.  I've gotta learn something.  Generally, most people accomplish their dreams by going to college, getting a degree, then doing what they want to do.  That's probably the best way to live life.  Go to college, then be what you want to be.  But you know... I went to college.  I held a 4.0 the entire time too.  You know how I managed a 4.0?  Well, my professors were strict, getting good grades were tough.  So... BEFORE every new class... I briefed MYSELF on the topic.  I bought textbooks early, and I read them.  I did the exercises at the end of each chapter.  I entered EVERY class, with an already basic knowledge of the subject.  I aced everything, the only time I didn't... I got a 96% on a final exam... it was a trick question because it had TWO correct answers and did NOT indicate, to choose the best one.  So, as my tired from studying self answered, I just chose one, it was wrong.  YES!  There is a moral to this story.  You can be anything you want to be... BUT it's going to be a journey... a venture... into the world of knowledge and learning... teach yourself, then let others teach you... and yes, there's a difference... one gives you a sense of self accomplishment, whereas the other... gives you a piece of paper that verifies your knowledge (diploma).  But hey, why not start here.  My website... it's YOUR Free Online Encyclopedia.  You don't have to pay anything... just learn something, it's free.  We donate to charity as well.  So if you want to help charity, improve our traffic by visiting us today.  http://youcanneverbetoosmart.com
